Linguistics at the Institute of Romance Philology covers an extraordinary range of topics, rom formalism to functionalism, from the broad language contact of Romance languages to narrow varieties. Members of the Institute are actively involved in the Dahlem Center for Linguistics (DCL). Among other activities, the DCL organizes and coordinates the Master's program in linguistics.
