"Understanding University" addresses students of the Humanities, having completed at least one semester of study. If students attend both the lecture and the seminar, they can receive credit for the ABV module "Gender und Diversity: Zentrale soziale Kategorien im 21. Jahrhundert" (more information on the ABV skill area Gender and diversity awareness and on the General professional skills courses/Allgemeine Berufsvorbereitung in general). If no credits are needed, students are invited to visit the lecture without registration.
To sign up for the courses, please register online for the course 30344a at the beginning of the semester (during the registration period) using the Freie Universität Berlin Campus Management System. You may only register for the lecture cum seminar; spots for the project-based seminars will be allocated in the first session of the lecture.
The classes have a limited number of spots. If, by April 4, 2018, 12 AM, you are not allocated a spot in the class by Campus Management, you may request to join the waiting list. To do so, please email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that credit for the module can only be given to students completing the entire module (lecture and seminar) in the summer term 2018.
We hope to offer the course on a regular basis in the future, details to follow.
