Student Initiative and Caledonian Café

Like many other departments at Freie Universität Berlin, we also have a student initiative (Fachschaftsinitiative, FSI) that serves as a forum for the opinions of students in English Philology. Among other things, it represents student interests in committees and commissions, makes suggestions to improve teaching and curricula, and works for a pleasant atmosphere at the department. For these purposes, or simply to have a chat, they meet at the Caledonian Café (meeting times are posted in the café or on the notice board). Every student, no matter how recent their arrival, is welcome and will soon be flooded with party organization and other heavy duties. Anyone who, for this reason, would like to remain incognito at first can start by sending an email.
