DESCRIPTION: An activity-based seminar led by theater professionals aimed a
 t helping speakers to effectively communicate the importance and relevance 
 of the work and the core message in the talk. Participants will be provided
  with the opportunity to perfect their public-speaking skills through feedb
 ack by the trainers\, group members and videotaping of their presentations.
  As a basis for applying the practical aims of the workshop\, participants 
 will be required to prepare a 3 to 5-minute pitch or overview of their work
  incorporating slides.   The seminar will be conducted in English and takes
  place at the Dahlem Research School at Hittorfstr. 16. The Seminar is excl
 usive to doctoral candidates and postdocs of all disciplines.   Dates: Mond
