Named after its founding Chair, the Peter Szondi Institute is dedicated to the transdisciplinary study of literature with a special focus on poetics, rhetoric, literary theory, and the interplay between the arts. Transcending the boundaries of national philologies, its members study the literatures of a rich variety of European languages, ranging from antiquity to the present.
