Doctoral studies program at Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School
The goal of a structured doctoral program is to support its dissertations as effectively as possible. The “structure” consists of various aspects:
a supervisor team of at least two university faculty members that supports the project together (interdisciplinary).
an annual review of the project’s progress and further development in a team meeting with the supervisor team in June.
the presentation of one’s own project in the colloquium in the presence of the supervisor team each winter semester.
seminars, workshops and advisory services through the Graduate School’s faculty and international visiting scholars.
offers at Dahlem Research School (DRS) at Freie Universität Berlin, the PhD-Net at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and the FSGS in cooperation with the course “Applied Literary Studies“ to “transferable skills“ and exploration of professional fields.
support for organizing one’s own classes as far as the relevant institutes can facilitate this.
support for visits abroad.
support for organizing one’s own events and inviting guests.
