The doctoral scholarships are awarded for a period of two years and may be extended for another year.
Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic record. We are looking for candidates with an innovative research project, which matches the academic interests of the Research Training Group. The doctoral fellows are required to regularly participate in the study programme and the events of the Research Training Group. In addition, they need to enrol as doctoral candidates at Freie Universität Berlin. The study programme includes a mobility period of at least one term during which the doctoral fellows study at the academic partner institution in Copenhagen and are advised by its professors. Good German and English skills are compulsory (level B2 for English, DSH 2 for German).
Postdoctoral posts are awarded for two years without the possibility of extension. A doctorate in one of the disciplines included in the Research Training Group and excellent German and English skills are required.
The postdoctoral fellows plan and organize events within the scope of the research and study programme. They also coordinate the Research Training Group together with the coordinator. A contribution to the research in the form of an individual research project in one of the subject areas of the Training Group is expected.
