Conference “Shark Pool Berlin” - Journalism in the Capital

In cooperation with DeutschlandRadio

11 May 2007

Deutschlandradio and BerlinMediaProfessionalSchool jointly organized a conference on journalism in the capital.

Functions and modes of operation of journalism in a capital city will be examined in discussions and talks. Correspondents of regional and national newspapers; braodcasters ARD, ZDF, n-tv; and radio journalists will talk about the relationship between journalists, government and elected representatives. Has the understanding of capital journalism changed in the last years? What role does the Bundespressekonferenz play? What importance do political talk shows on television have? What are the specific work conditions at agencies, print and electronic media? Which sources of information do the economic elite and political decision makers use?
