Bettina Bildhauer

Dr Bettina Bildhauer (University of St Andrews, UK) is staying at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School from September 2009 until August 2010 with a research grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Dr Bildhauer received her PhD at the University of Cambridge; her thesis was on "Blood in Thirteenth-Century German Literature“. Since 2004 she has been working as a lecturer at the University of St Andrews. You may find a list of her publications here. She is a regular contributor to "The Times Literary Supplement", reviewing new publications from the field of Literary Studies.

Her current research project which she will be completing during her stay in Berlin is focussing on the representation of the Middle Ages in German film.
