Sebastian Schulze, born in 1980, studied Modern German Literature and Philosophy at the Freie Universität Berlin. Besides holding several tutorials he finished his studies by writing a Master's thesis entitled How poems think - Poetry and Poetics of Brigitte Oleschinskis. His graduation was followed by an employment as a research assistant in the research department of the Europa Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder). His main interests are the poetry and literary theories of the twentieth and twenty-first century. From 2010 to 2013 he was a doctoral student at the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School for Literary Studies, writing his dissertation The Echo in the Text and the Echo as Text. On the Evolution of a Literary Phenomenon.
